Dating an Ex

Just a side note before I get started. For some reason the general post I did yesterday posted and then was reverted back to a draft. I didn't find this out until early this morning so in case any of you were wonder what was up with that...I couldn't tell you. So a friend of mine just got back together with his ex. I'm personally glad he hasn't said anything about my thoughts on the subject because I have some interesting thoughts. So I've been thinking what I might say to him and honestly anything I saw makes me sound like a douche, a jealous douche, or straight up sarcastic. I honestly think dating an ex is a bad idea. There are very few circumstances when I think it can work.
The first is the relationship dissolved because of a move. For instance you are dating a guy, but his or your work has to transfer you somewhere else and you two agree maintaining a relationship would be too hard. Well after some time either you move to where he is or vice versa and then chose to start the relationship again. I think that's acceptable by everyone in that instance.
Another one is after some time. That means you break up with a guy and say after you both have dated other guys you both sit and talk and agree to try it again. This allows whatever it was that drove you apart to possibly work itself out or for it to maybe not be so much of a bother. For instance maybe one of you was obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder and now that person is there. Or maybe it bothered you that your ex didn't go out so much, but now that you are older you don't want to stay in more. This can also be that you both have had time to cool down and tried to be friends for awhile, but feel that there is something still there. And by awhile I don't mean a few months. I mean at least 9 months to a year.
I think the third would be actively working on the problem. Let's say you or your ex was an alcoholic. Well now you or they are in AAA and have been 4 months or more sober. That shows that what was said did sink in.
Other than those instances I can't really think of a good reason to date your ex. This guy has had none of these. They broke up I want to say around the same time I broke up with Buck, but were together for like a month or 2 longer than us. They have been in constant contact and I'm pretty sure neither has dated anyone since. Just feels like they both couldn't find anyone so they said ok let's try again. I honestly can't see an instance where I'd end up dating any one of my exes or trying to date some of the guys I dated before. Final week

It's the final week at the store. Which means nothing for you guys really. Friday and Thursday I will most likely not get to post since my boss will be at the store the whole time. Bit of reflection

And other questions along those lines. For a lot of guys that signals that I'm moving way too fast and expecting to get married tomorrow. That of course isn't the case. Basically view dating like being at a Casino. This casino tells you the odds of winning right off the bat. Some machines or games have a better chance. Each machine or game or table being a guy. The chips used in this casino are time. That's time of your life. So when you decide to sit at the table or game or machine you ask what are the odds of winning. That would me asking the question do you want a long term relationship. If a guy says oh I just want to hook up, then it's a 1 in a billion chance that I'll hit the jackpot. The jackpot being a relationship that lasts for 10 years or more. Specifically the more part. Now after I asks the questions and feel good about my odds I'll put in chips. Now the more chips you put in the better chance you'll hit the jackpot. You can of course walk away and hope you find another game you like and put your remaining chips there, or of course just spend your chips on food or something. A lot of guys my age just willy nilly throw their chips at whatever game looks the best. If they hit the jackpot yay for them. If not they just keep moving on. The little things

I've said it before, but it still holds true. I miss the little things that come with being in a relationship. If you live in the US you've probably heard about the statements made by the current Bachelor. I don't know why I posted a video post yesterday. I'm so sorry guys I swear I thought it was Wednesday. So I can either not post one today or post another today. Don't judge a book by its cover

We've all heard that saying or something similar to it. Basically don't make a decision on something based on how it looks. Most of the time we are talking about people. Well I have two cases that prove just how wrong our perceptions can be.
First I was talking to this guy on okcupid. He lives some distance away so I didn't think too much of it. We chatted and I learned a lot about him. He works at Kmart, but was in school for chemistry and is now switching over to microbiology and will be at the college in my town for the fall semester. So at this point I figured I should go ahead and take a closer look at his profile. Well let me say his picture shocked me. He has 6 piercings. 3 of which are on his face. Unless I missed some. He looks like he would be a tattoo artist. Doesn't look like someone studying chemistry soon to be microbiology. Which honestly....is kinda hot. As I've said before I find stereotypes boring. This guy clearly has a brain. He can hold a very intellectual conversation. He is looking for a real relationship not just sex. He's two years younger than me so we are in the same age group. He might be up in February so we might get to meet then first, but I must say the guy intrigues me.
The second case has to do with the other John I met. Some time back I met a guy who shared the same name as me through a mutual friend. Well long story short the guy was not what I expected. As for old material. No I won't be posting that again. It's in the archives for a reason. I will occasionally link to it if I'm making a point (or if I can find the post I was thinking of), but I won't repost video links. The pictures I do recycle through when it comes to a picture to use for the video posts. That's really the only reposting I'll do. I don't repost video links because usually they don't work after a year or so. That's why I'll repost a video I'm sure I've posted before, but I won't actually go back and comb through the blog to find ones to post again.
I'm not trying to be mean here guys. I'm just trying to stream line things. I don't like having to repeat things I've said time and time again. I appreciate constructive criticism, but when it's just complaining that's when I have a problem. Such as telling me to post slower.  I know it's not him, but this guy looks like the actor on the show Almost Human. His name is Karl Urban. Like I said it's not him. Just a guy who looks like him. It always amazes me how some people have these look alikes. I'm sure he gets stopped often and asked if he's the guy on that show.

 Getting a shot like this isn't exactly easy. Now if you are using a still program then well it is that easy. Based on the quality I don't think it's a still shot. It was probably a camera set on the multiple shots setting. Either way that's a pretty good arc on that shot.

 This picture caught my eye and I didn't know why at first. I thought it was the fact that it's guys fucking behind a tree, then I looked closer. For some reason this guy edited the photo to make it look like he's fucking himself. Yeah you could think it's twins, but you can kinda see the editing if you look closely.
